Aspen Ridge

Lynn and I will attempt a few 14ers in the coming weeks but in the meantime we did Aspen Ridge. Other than the drive this is an easy, albeit steep, 6 pointer.

20 Meter SSB was a struggle. Lynn worked the following stations:

KX6A
W9MRH
K6EL
NS7P
AC1Z

I worked the following stations on 20 meter CW  with the hi-light being a QSO into HI with K9FD!

K7TQ
K9FD
W6TDX
NS7P
AC1Z
NG6R
NE4TN
WD7Y
W6WW
KD9FM
W4HBK
K5WI
ND0C
K7FO

QSB was present and bad at times however, there was not a lot of time for other bands as the rain was moving in. Our last part of the hike was in the rain. Fortunately it was not far to the Jeep. I think the temp dropped 20 degrees when it started raining.

  1. Pictures of the rigs, pictures of the ops and lots of pictures of the beautiful scenery. Doesn't get any better than that. TNX for the posts.
